Stone Galleria Journal

Escribe para nosotros

We publish articles on natural stone written by the people who handle it — quarry operators, fabricators, architects, and traders.

Read this first. This page covers who we publish, what a draft has to clear, how to submit, how long review takes, and what you receive in return. Nothing is charged for publication and nothing is paid for it — that is set out in full below. Most rejections come from skipping this page.
01

Who we publish

We look for first-hand knowledge before writing ability. Prose can be edited. Experience cannot be manufactured.

Stone Galleria LLP, a natural stone i.e., granite, sandstone, marble, quartzite and slate manufacturer and exporter in Rajasthan, runs this journal for readers making a real specification or purchase decision. The articles that serve them come from people who have stood in a quarry, run a gangsaw, or watched an installation fail.

Quarry and mine operators

Extraction yields, block sizes, defect rates, how a deposit changes with depth and season.

Fabricators and installers

What breaks on site, working tolerances, tooling, edge and finish limits.

Architects and designers

Specification decisions on real projects — why a material was chosen, or rejected.

Importers and exporters

Container loading, grading disputes, freight, and what landed cost actually includes.

Geologists and researchers

Petrography, ASTM and EN test data, weathering and durability behaviour.

Writers with access

No stone background needed if you can interview people who have one and cite them by name.

02

What a draft has to clear

Contributed articles are held to the same standards as our own.

Before you draft, read our editorial standards. It sets out how we source claims, how we verify them, how we handle corrections, and where our commercial interest sits. Contributed work is checked against the same document — there is no separate, easier bar for guest articles.

Answer
A question, answered early. The title asks something a reader typed into a search box. The first paragraph answers it. The rest explains why the short answer is not the whole picture.
Numbers
Specifics, not adjectives. Mohs hardness, water absorption percentage, slab size in cm, price per square foot. "Highly durable" tells a reader nothing they can act on.
Sources
Links we can follow. Research papers, government departments, standards bodies, or named people in the trade. "Studies show" and "experts say" are not sources.
Balance
Honest comparison. If a material we do not sell is the better answer for the application, write that. We publish it and link the closest thing we do offer.
FAQs
Questions people actually ask. Pulled from Reddit, Quora, Houzz, or Google People Also Ask — with the source thread links attached to your submission.

What we return unread

  • Press releases, company profiles, and product launches
  • Articles written to place a backlink, whatever the stated topic
  • Unedited AI output — research with it if you like, but a person must fact-check the draft
  • Claims with no source behind them: "widely regarded", "known for", "many people believe"
  • Work already published elsewhere, including your own blog — we occasionally republish with consent and a link to the original, but ask before you send it

We would rather publish nothing this month than publish something a reader cannot rely on.

03

Temas que Cubrimos

Anything about natural stone, including materials we do not sell.

Articles run 600–2,500 words. Most of what we publish sits near 1,500. Write to the topic, not to a word count. Before you pitch, read what we have already published — it is the fastest way to see the structure, depth, and tone we are asking for.

04

Cómo Enviar (y Qué Sucede Después)

Send a pitch before you write the whole article. It saves us both the work.

A pitch is two paragraphs: what you intend to argue, and what you know or can access that nobody else writing on this topic does. An outline helps. A finished draft is welcome but carries more risk — if the angle is wrong, the rewrite is larger.

Google Docs links are easiest, because editors comment inside the document. Plain text, Markdown, and links to HTML also work. Please do not send ZIP files unless we ask for one.

No podemos proporcionar una fecha de publicación hasta que tu artículo esté casi listo para publicarse.

05

What it costs, and what you get

Money moves in neither direction. Stated plainly, because the alternative wastes your time.

Fee
Nothing. We do not charge for publication, review, placement, or the backlink. There is no sponsored slot to buy on this journal. Anyone quoting you a price to appear here is not us.
Payment
Also nothing. We do not pay for contributed articles either. If you write professionally and are looking for paid work, send samples and say so — that is a separate conversation, handled separately.
Byline
Your name on the work. Name, role, and company on the article, with a short bio stating the experience the article draws on.
Link
One editorial backlink. To your business or personal site, in the bio or the body where it is relevant, provided the destination is not running spam SEO.
Reach
Distribution. Published articles are shared through our newsletter and our Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
Editing
Feedback you can use. Line-level notes from editors who know the material, whether or not the article ends up running.
